Terraform, an open-source infrastructure-as-code utility, has been at the center of a controversy after its parent company, HashiCorp, restricted its use in commercial projects without a license. In response, the community created a fork called OpenTofu, which is fully compatible with Terraform. However, there are nuances to consider.

On October 30, we will discuss the changes in Terraform, including the licenses and what has happened. We will also explore the emergence of OpenTofu, what it is, how it differs from Terraform, and its future road map.

The speaker, Pavel Selivanov, is an architect at Yandex Cloud.
