According to the latest statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, China's industrial enterprises with annual sales revenue of 20 million yuan and above achieved a total profit of 522.816 billion yuan in the first nine months of 2024, representing a decline of 3.5% compared to the same period last year. Breaking down the data by ownership structure, state-owned enterprises (SOEs) reported a decline of 6.5% year-over-year to 172.359 billion yuan, while shareholding enterprises saw a 4.9% decline to 388.723 billion yuan. On the other hand, foreign-invested enterprises achieved a 1.5% growth to 130.364 billion yuan, and private businesses experienced a 0.6% decline to 142.272 billion yuan. The National Bureau of Statistics has released these statistics as part of its latest quarterly report.
