We kindly request that the latest version of FRP be made available for download with support for 32-bit (386) Windows. This is a much-needed feature to ensure continued compatibility with various systems and environments. The lack of 32-bit support has had significant consequences, and we believe it is essential to re-establish this option to maintain the usability and effectiveness of FRP for a broader range of users.
Our primary alternatives considered so far have been limited due to the absence of 32-bit support. However, without native 32-bit support, we have had to rely on workarounds and compromises, which can be suboptimal.
The affected areas include:
* Docs: Documentation needs to be updated to include 32-bit installation instructions and configuration guidance.
* Installation: Users need clear instructions for installing the 32-bit version of FRP, which currently is not available.
* Performance and Scalability: The current lack of 32-bit support poses performance limitations, and we anticipate that re-establishing this option will address these concerns.
* Security: Ensuring the 32-bit version of FRP is secure is essential to prevent potential security vulnerabilities.
* User Experience: A more streamlined and user-friendly experience is possible with direct 32-bit support, making it easier for users to access and utilize FRP.
* Test and Release: Testing and releasing the 32-bit version of FRP will require adjustments to our testing and release processes.
* Developer Infrastructure: Re-establishing 32-bit support may necessitate changes to our development infrastructure to accommodate the dual-binary distribution.
* Client Plugin: The client plugin will require updates to handle the 32-bit version of FRP.
* Server Plugin: The server plugin will also need updates to seamlessly integrate with the 32-bit version of FRP.
* Extensions: Extensions may need to be rewritten or adapted to work with the 32-bit version of FRP.
* Others: This is a long-term request, which may encompass various other aspects not immediately apparent.
