Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has reportedly traded in his Mercedes-Benz S-Class for a luxurious Russian-made Aurus, similar to those used by other world leaders during the BRICS summit in Kazan. According to Motor news outlet, the Aurus used by Tokayev is his personal vehicle, allegedly gifted to him by Russia. The high-end Russian cars have recently undergone design updates, including new wheel designs, which were first introduced on the Aurus Senat. The move is seen as a symbol of the deepening ties between Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as the increasing presence of made-in-Russia luxury cars on the global market. However, it is worth noting that the Russian company is working on a more affordable version of the Aurus, which may soon compete with Mercedes-Benz S-Class and other premium offerings.
