Microsoft's GitHub announced at the Universe event in San Francisco that it will integrate the AI models of Anthropic and Alphabet's Google into its platform, which will be used by at least hundreds of millions of software developers.

The collaboration aims to provide an alternative to OpenAI's products for users who want to switch to a new AI model.

GitHub users will first be able to use Google's Gemini model and Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet for chatting and asking questions.

In the future, the models will be integrated into GitHub Copilot, a code assistant that can generate code with just a few simple questions.

This move is expected to increase competition in the AI market and provide users with more choices.
