After feeling unhappy with xLog for a while, mainly due to issues and difficulty in usage (such as text editor freezing when inputting too much text, difficulty in customizing CSS, etc.), I've been looking for alternative solutions. In the past, I had also attempted to use Hexo with Github Pages as my blog platform, but ultimately gave up due to the inability to use my desired theme.

This time around, I've successfully set up a Hexo site using VSCode, Git, one-click deployment, and Cloudflare Pages. However, during a recent system reformat, I lost all of my blog files, and was only able to recover them by converting my HTML articles to Markdown format. This experience has made me reevaluate the feasibility of using Hexo-like static blog platforms, as they are stored locally on my disk and can be easily deleted by a simple command, such as sudo rm -rf /*.

I recently checked my Telegram messages and saw that DIYGod mentioned that he had seen my xLog homepage with a lot of yearly summaries. This motivated me to go back and review my old xLog blog. I reinstalled Metamask, recovered my wallet, and logged back in to find that all of my old articles were still there.

Upon further reflection, I realized that Hexo uses Markdown as its content format, just like xLog. Therefore, I thought it would be a great idea to update my articles on both platforms simultaneously. This way, even if Hexo were to fail, I could still fall back on the xLog Markdown files.

Anyway, I'm back.
