Verifying Your Website with Google Search Console

To verify your website with Google Search Console, follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Search Console website at https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome?hl=en.
2. Click on the "Add a property" button and enter your domain name.
3. Add a DNS record or verify using other methods as prompted.
For my use case, I used CNAME verification, which requires adding a record to your DNS settings.
4. Once you have added the DNS record, click on the "Verify" button.
5. After adding your website, navigate to the website you just verified in the Google Search Console left-hand menu.
**Note:** It may take 1 day for data to become viewable.
6. To check if your website has been crawled, open Google and search for "copysite:yourdomain.com" (replace yourdomain.com with your actual top-level domain).
