Microsoft has announced the release of a new version of Windows 11, which includes significant updates to two of the operating system's most iconic applications: Notepad and Paint. The company has introduced AI-powered features to both programs, making them more capable and user-friendly.

The new version of Paint (version 11.2410.28.0) brings two new features: AI-powered filling and AI-powered erasing. The AI filling feature, currently only available to users with a Copilot+ PC, allows users to fill shapes and objects with seamless and accurate results. The AI erasing feature, available to all users, allows for much more precise and efficient erasing of images and objects.

The Image Creator in Paint Preview has also been rolled out to more countries and regions.

Notepad, another classic Windows application, has also received significant updates. The new version (11.2410.15.0) introduces an AI-powered rewriting feature, which allows users to rephrase, reformat, and even expand or condense text with ease. This feature is currently available to users in the US, France, UK, Canada, Italy, and Germany. Users can access this feature by selecting the text they want to rewrite and right-clicking on it, or by using the shortcut Ctrl + I.

These updates demonstrate Microsoft's commitment to innovation and improvement, making its classic applications more convenient and efficient for users. The company's efforts to integrate AI technology into its applications will likely continue to enhance the user experience and stay ahead of the competition in the tech industry.
