Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced plans to introduce legislation banning individuals under the age of 16 from using social media. Despite parental consent, the government aims to minimize social media use among children and encourage participation in physical activities, such as sports, allowing them to engage with real people and have real-life experiences.
According to Reuters, on Wednesday, the Australian government stated that they would legislate a ban on teenagers below the age of 16 using social media. Not even parental consent would be an exception.
