Huawei's devices have been alleged to have an in-built listening software that collects users' personal data and transmits it to the company's internal monitoring system. The rumor started in July 2017 when a user going by the username "Yu Dapeng" (鱼摆摆) posted on a Chinese social media platform called Qzone, claiming that Huawei's devices are equipped with a hidden listening software that can access users' most private information.
