Evergrande Real Estate Group, a Chinese property developer, has been ordered to pay a total of 420 million yuan (approximately $65 million USD) in four separate cases. The cases involve a construction contract dispute and a paper check dispute, among others. The companies involved include Evergrande Real Estate Group, Evergrande Real Estate Group Jining Subsidiary, and Evergrande Real Estate Group Leiyang Subsidiary. The cases are being heard in the Xi'an Intermediate People's Court of Shaanxi Province and the Enping People's Court. Evergrande Real Estate Group currently has 650 active legal cases, with a total amount of over 7.04 billion yuan (approximately $1.1 billion USD) at stake. The company's credit rating has been impacted, with some customers placing limitations on using their credit, and the company being added to the list of debtors and losing faith of the court in various cases. This is the latest development in a long series of financial troubles and debts which the company has been facing.
