Microsoft has released the Azure Linux 3.0.20241203 distribution. Here are some of the key features and enhancements in this release:

1. **Packet filter iptables** has been updated to process commands through translation of rules into nftables bytecode. By default, the iptables-legacy package is replaced with iptables-nft.
2. **Support for 64K pages** is now available for Aarch64 systems. The kernel-64k package uses large pages of size 64KB and is compiled with the CONFIG_ARM64_64K_PAGES option.
3. **Installonlypkgs feature** has been added to the tdnf package manager. This feature is used to install the kernel-64k package.
4. **Livenet rootfs support** has been enabled for systemd-networkd.
5. **Intel Ethernet Connection E800 driver** has been added.
6. **Lua support** has been added to the fluent-bit logging handler.
7. **Kernel verification** has been enabled for kexec.
8. **Container detection** has been changed to use the systemd-detect-virt utility instead of checking the /.dockerenv file.
