According to court documents, Francisco will be represented by his law firm Jones Day, alongside his partner Hashim Mooppan. During his tenure as Acting Associate Attorney General from 2017 to 2020, Francisco argued more than 20 cases before the Supreme Court when he defended former President Trump.
Francisco, Mooppan, and their law firm Jones Day have thus far declined to comment on the matter.
Representatives for the US Department of Justice and TikTok have also not yet responded to requests for comment.
