On Sunday afternoon, a two-car collision occurred in the Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island, leaving six people injured. The authorities received the report at around 3:00 pm and rushed to the scene at Staveley Rd, near Symes Rd in Ashburton. Four of the injured were airlifted to Christchurch Hospital, including three with severe injuries and one with moderate injuries. One person was taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance, and another with moderate injuries was transported to Ashburton Hospital. The St. John Ambulance service dispatched two helicopters, two ambulances, two rapid response vehicles, and a manager to the scene. Medical personnel evaluated and treated a total of six patients, with three critical cases and one moderate case being airlifted to Christchurch Hospital, one critical case transported by land to Christchurch Hospital, and one moderate case transported by land to Ashburton Hospital. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
