OpenAI has unveiled Projects, a new feature that is helping to take ChatGPT to the next level. On the 7th day of the '12 Days' event, OpenAI's head of product Kevin Weil and his team showcased the practicality of Projects, including organizing a 'Secret Santa' event, managing home appliance maintenance notes, and modifying website templates. The feature integrates multiple ChatGPT functionalities into one, providing a solid foundation for executing multi-step tasks. Projects supports file uploads, custom commands, grouped conversations, and data management, allowing users to tailor ChatGPT to their needs. Although not a technical breakthrough, it has optimized the user experience. Users can also set specific commands for fine-grained control over individual Projects. Projects is currently available to select users, with enterprise and education versions expected to launch at the start of the new year. The introduction of Projects represents a significant step forward for ChatGPT and its capabilities.
