The identification in the 1980s of an unusual tumulus, measuring 45 meters in diameter and 2.50 meters in height, located on the commune of Guéret, marked a significant discovery. This structure stood out due to its dimensions, rivaling those of the imposing princely funerary monuments from the end of the Iron Age's first period and the beginning of its second phase. A site analysis (geophysical prospection) and archaeological environmental study supported the notion that it could be a princely burial mound. However, without the benefit of excavations and the discovery of significant artifacts, such as luxury objects, it is currently challenging to confirm the presence of aristocratic phenomena in the regions of Limousin and Marche during that era.
