**Shanghai Township Forum: Shanghai Delivers the Tourism Industry**

In response to the current shift in travel restrictions, the Shanghai delegation has recently announced that it will resume group tours to Taiwan, with Taiwan-based tour companies modifying their itineraries to include stops in Shanghai.

In the Taipei-Shanghai Township Forum held on April 17, Shanghai Vice-Mayor Wang Xuebing stated that 'Shanghai will actively facilitate group tours for Shanghai residents to Taiwan, ensuring that the tourism itineraries will feature Taipei as one of the main destinations'.

Throughout the forum, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an and Shanghai Vice-Mayor Wang Xuebing signed memorandums on smart medicine and species conservation, collaborating on future projects and promoting cultural exchange.

The initiative is set to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between Taiwan and Shanghai, with officials aiming to promote tourism as a key driver of economic growth.

The tourism sector has long been a growth priority for both Taipei and Shanghai, with city officials working together to develop a more comprehensive tourism strategy.

Tourism officials in Taipei have expressed gratitude for the rehabilitation of group tours to Taiwanese citizens, promising to provide better services and more opportunities for cultural exchanges.

Industry trends suggest that the resurgence of group tours to Taiwanese citizens will bolster tourism in both regions, contributing positively to local economies and fostering community building.
