US President-elect Donald Trump has intimated that he could consider weighing on whether or not to delay a forthcoming ban on TikTok, a reversal of his hardened stance on the popular Chinese video-sharing application during his time as President in 2020.
The CEO of TikTok, Xinjiang Shi, met with President-elect Trump at Mar-a-Lago on December 16. The app is expected to be banned in the US within a few weeks due to national security concerns.
Sources have confirmed that the private meeting took place, just hours ago. Trump also hinted that he would try to delay the ban to save TikTok.
