According to a recent survey by IGAWorks, a leading provider of data services in Korea, Temu has emerged as the most downloaded app by Korean adults in the first eleven months of the year. Interestingly, women accounted for a higher proportion of downloads than men. Specifically, 1.92 million women aged 20-29 downloaded the app, outpacing the 1.44 million men in the same age bracket. A similar trend was observed among 30-39-year-olds, with 2.12 million women and 1.75 million men downloading the app.
In the 40-49 age group, the difference was even more pronounced, with 2.84 million women and 2.1 million men downloading Temu. Meanwhile, among those aged 50 and above, the numbers were 1.99 million women and 2 million men, with a relatively small gap between the two.
In addition, Temu topped the list of apps with the most new downloads across all age groups, with a total of 18.04 million downloads between January and November. TikTok Lite trailed closely behind with 10.22 million downloads, while Temu's active user base (MAU) stood at 4.26 million, representing a significant increase of 3.95 million users since January, the largest growth rate of any app.
