Intel's highly anticipated Arrow Lake-S processors, released in October, were expected to save the company from its decline in the market. However, the first results of the tests showed significant discrepancies and did not meet the promised performance showcased during the presentation. Intel's product development team immediately responded to this outcome and conducted an internal investigation to identify and resolve the issues. The investigation revealed several problems, including lack of the Performance & Power Management package, non-functional Application Performance Optimizer (APO) tool, blue screen of death (BSOD) errors during gaming with Easy Anti-Cheat service, and incorrect BIOS settings. Fortunately, all of these bugs have been fixed. To operate the processors as originally intended, Intel advises users to update their motherboard BIOS to version 26100.2314 and Windows 11 to version 26100.2314. For optimal gaming performance, users will need to wait for the final BIOS update, which is expected by January 2025.
