I've been away for a while and returned to a job hunt. My experience is that many people have been approaching me unsolicited, asking vague questions about job openings. I've also applied to numerous companies, but most of my applications have been met with radio silence. Some people tell me that the current market is tough, with many job openings scarce. I disagree with this thinking and instead believe that many companies are not being honest about the real issues they're facing. For instance, I have come across a company that presents a very optimistic image, but in reality, they're struggling to operate effectively. It's crucial for job seekers like myself to be aware of these underlying issues and not just blame the current market for their lack of progress in their job hunt.
