IBM Offers Free LinuxONE Virtual Machine Resources to Boost Open-Source Development

IBM has recently announced a significant initiative to support the open-source community: developers can now apply for permanent access to IBM Z and LinuxONE platforms' virtual machine resources. This move is expected to drive the development of the open-source ecosystem, providing powerful mainframe computing capabilities to developers.

Applicants only need to submit their project URL and email address on the IBM LinuxONE Open Source Cloud Virtual Machine(s) Request Form. A second review will be conducted after the submission. To increase the chances of approval, the applicant is advised to focus on the continuous integration (CI) direction.
