I've had stomach issues since I was around 25 years old. I've had four endoscopies so far, and each time it was a routine procedure. However, this time it was different. I had been experiencing discomfort in my stomach since the new year, and it was exacerbated by drinking white wine during the Chinese New Year celebrations. Then, I also ate some spicy food, which didn't help. The discomfort was mainly in the upper part of my stomach, with a burning and bloating sensation. I tried taking medication, but it didn't work. I went to see a doctor at a local hospital who suggested I have another endoscopy. I didn't want to, but eventually I had to. The procedure was quick, taking only about 6-7 minutes. It was a bit uncomfortable, but the doctor assured me that it was normal. The results showed that I had chronic superficial gastritis, and I need to follow up with my doctor for further treatment.
