On December 24th, a consumer posted a complaint on social media about a Posiden exclusive store selling a 700 RMB down feather pants, which only weighed 3g. Some consumers pointed out that the pants had bunches of down feathers, and only the thigh had some filling. Responding to media inquiries, Posiden's exclusive store customer service replied that the same style of down feather pants had sold out, 'the down doesn't matter, we use clean, high-quality down, and the weight may be a bit light.' Posiden's official flagship store customer service staff only replied that they had passed on the feedback.

But according to an interview with Mr. Liu, a staff member at an Anhui Province down product company, only 3g of down is hardly enough to evenly distribute throughout the entire pant leg, and if it's just a surface-level filling, this might not be enough to deliver the same level of warmth as other materials.

This allows [company] to print 'down feather pants' on the label, even though the actual material is mostly made of fillings. Consumers feel this is deceptive, and suggest that manufacturers should tighten up their claims to avoid confusing consumers with false information.
