A critical security update has been released for the Gogs collaboration platform, which addresses five high-severity vulnerabilities (CVE-2023-001 to CVE-2023-005) that could allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute code on the server, alter data in other users' repositories, or gain SSH access to the server. The vulnerabilities do not affect the Gitea and Forgejo platforms, which are forks of Gogs created in 2016. The update is available for download and is highly recommended for all Gogs users to install immediately.
