In its ongoing journey to foster a more transparent and user-centric environment, Meituan is making significant strides towards greater algorithmic openness and accountability. Following the success of its previous seven algorithmic openness initiatives, Meituan has announced the establishment of a dedicated Algorithm Transparency Zone, aiming to regularly communicate the underlying principles, mechanisms, and updates of its algorithms to a broader audience. Additionally, Meituan is committed to completing the abolition of late fees for its riders by the end of 2025, representing a pivotal shift from penalty-driven to incentive-driven labour practices.
