A South Korean passenger plane caught fire after crash-landing at Jeju International Airport on December 29th. The incident occurred when the plane, operated by Jin Air, overran the runway and collided with a nearby airport perimeter fence during landing. The flight, which took off from Bangkok, Thailand, had 181 people on board, including 175 passengers and 6 crew members. According to reports from local media, 28 people have been confirmed dead, with the cause of the accident believed to be a bird strike during the landing process. The investigation is ongoing.
