The case of **#Guo Zheming**, alleged money launderer, involves a staggering 20 billion NTD in illicit funds. What's more, despite being free on bail, he was allowed to leave the country twice without any restrictions.

In another case, **#Lin Bingwen**, a key shareholder in a company involved in a large-scale money laundering operation, posted a bail of 3 million NTD, but was reported to have fled the scene shortly after.

The chairman of Taiproducer, **#Chen Qiyi**, is accused of embezzling 11 billion NTD from the company, with a subsequent debt of 100 billion NTD. After being taken into custody, he was allowed to return home, only to escape shortly after.

Meanwhile, **#Chen Weizhi**, a key suspect in a loan-sharking case targeting state-owned banks, posted a bail of 5 million NTD, before fleeing to China.

The largest suspect, **#Ko Wen-je**, currently on bail, has a 300 million NTD bond. As there was no evidence of money laundering, no cold wallet was found, and a team of 20 reporters have been stationed at his doorstep, the prosecution did not object to his bail and has filed an appeal to ensure he does not flee.

The Democratic Progressive Party has leveraged the same tactic used to hunt down **#Ko Wen-je** against the fraud syndicate, with the goal of eliminating the roots of evil in Taiwan.
