I recently discovered the annoyance of having to manually sync my Google Photos with my local device after switching phones. Prior to using Google Photos, I didn't rely on cloud-based album functions. However, during my recent experience with Google Photos, I encountered a peculiar issue. After downloading the app on my new phone, I was able to access and view my previously stored photos on the app as expected. However, when I tried to send a photo to a friend via WeChat, I had to go through the following process: Firstly, I had to locate the desired photo within Google Photos. Secondly, I had to download the photo by clicking on the three dots on the top-right corner of the photo. Without downloading the photo, it would not be available on my local device, hence I would not be able to send it via WeChat. Finally, I would select the photo and send it to my friend. I find this process cumbersome and time-consuming, requiring me to re-download the same photo. Hence, I would like to ask if there is a way to directly sync all photos from my Google Photos to my local device. Or perhaps I am using the app incorrectly? As a newbie, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice from experienced users.
