What to expect after upgrading to iOS 18 with dual Apple ID and cross-region App Store updates

I have recently upgraded to iOS 18 and found that certain apps without a Chinese mainland presence, which I previously downloaded from the US App Store using my US Apple ID, no longer detect updates. These apps include Surge, Loon, Stash X, Telegram, and Threads. The common trait among these apps is that they are not available in the Chinese mainland App Store and can only be updated by switching regions and manually searching for the app name. In contrast, apps like YouTube and Infuse, which are available in the Chinese mainland App Store, continue to update normally. I would like to know if others have experienced this phenomenon after upgrading to iOS 18.
