**ByteDance Launches AI-powered Coding Environment IDE for Overseas Developers**
ByteDance has officially released a new AI-powered coding environment IDE called Trae (trae.ai), marking a significant evolution from Copilot to Autopilot. According to sources, Trae is provided by ByteDance's Singapore-based company SPRING PTE. LTD. and offers features such as AI-powered question answering, code auto-completion, and agent-based AI programming. This tool is designed to help developers automate their coding tasks, and in some cases, enable end-to-end development (producing a complete code project directly from user input). Although Trae is currently only available on Mac, a Windows version is reportedly in the works. Notably, users can choose between Simplified Chinese or English, and have access to GPT-4 and Claude-3.5-Sonnet models for free.
