He congratulated all Malaysian athletes who participated in the Paris Olympics and expressed his gratitude for their efforts. He emphasized that the athletes had given their all and that everyone should accept the results of the event. The Prime Minister also urged everyone not to blame or complain about the athletes, as they had sacrificed a lot of time and effort. The country has participated in the Olympics since the 1956 Melbourne Games and has won 8 silver and 5 bronze medals, with badminton players contributing the most to the country's medal tally. In the current Olympics, Malaysia won two bronze medals in badminton doubles and singles events.
