I am considering opening a self-service billiards and mahjong store near a university. The concept is to invest in 4 to 6 tables, with an initial investment cost of around 20-30 thousand dollars. I think students in the area would be frequent customers, and the source of customers would be stable. However, I haven't conducted any actual research yet, so I plan to visit the area on weekends to get a feel for the place.
I am planning to apply for a loan, as business loan interest rates are relatively low at the moment. I will continue to work part-time and use my income to repay the loan.
I estimate that the store's profit margin will be around 30% or more, based on rough calculations. Despite having no experience in entrepreneurship or running a store, I am still in the process of learning. I would appreciate any advice or tips from experienced entrepreneurs who can share their expertise and help me refine my plan. Thank you to everyone who has helped me so far.
