When connecting two computers with different Internet Service Providers (ISPs) over XTCp, we observed a significant speed difference. Computer A, located on a mobile network, was running as the XTCp server, while Computer B, connected to a China Telecom network, was the XTCp client. Despite the successful connection, the upload and download speeds were limited to approximately 355 KB/s, with occasional brief spikes to around 500 KB/s.

In contrast, when both computers were connected to the same mobile network, the download speeds increased to around 10 MB/s. Furthermore, using a mobile phone with Android and the XTCp configuration over a 4G mobile network, the download speeds ranged from 2-5 MB/s.

Interestingly, enabling or disabling compression did not affect the speeds.

We are curious to know if there are any methods to improve the speeds when connecting devices over XTCp across different ISPs.
