Key figures who lost their lives in the airstrikes include Hossein Salami, the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Fereydoun Abbasi Davani, the former head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, and nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. The Supreme Leader's advisor and commander of the Guard's internal security forces, Esmaeil Kaani, was also severely injured in the attack.
