The official release of Rocky Linux 10.0, a RHEL-compatible distribution, has taken place. Key features include:

* Full binary compatibility with RHEL 10/CentOS Stream
* Support until 2035
* Architectures: x86-64-v3, ARM, POWER, s390x, and RISC-V (StarFive/SiFive)
* Package sources: OpenELA consortium (SUSE+Oracle) instead of Red Hat

Rocky Linux boasts the following features:

* Proprietary Red Hat components have been removed
* Custom repositories:
- SAP/SAPHANA for corporate systems
- RT for real-time operation
- HighAvailability for failover
* 32-bit packages have been removed (only containers remain)

The project is managed by the non-profit RESF with $26 million in investments from Google, AWS, and GitLab. Commercial support is provided by Ctrl IQ.
