Tencent Cloud recently launched the EdgeOne free CDN package, becoming the world's first and only free CDN service that supports both international and mainland China acceleration. This platform has no traffic limits, provides free DDoS protection and basic WAF functions, and supports CNAME domain name resolution partitioning. Enterprises and developers can choose the acceleration region based on their domain name registration status, and registered domains can enable mainland China nodes, while unregistered domains can only use international nodes.
EdgeOne does not require real-name authentication or credit card binding for registration, and the free package allows binding of one main domain and multiple subdomains. The platform uses Anycast routing technology, with over 3,200 CDN nodes worldwide, and global connection delays are generally below 5 milliseconds. EdgeOne also provides free SSL certificates for automatic application and renewal, making it easier for enterprises and developers to improve website security and access speed.
