Recent Frustrations and Research Towards a Visa/Mastercard Card: A Quest for Balance Between Usability and Threshold. In recent times, I have been eager to obtain a visa/mastercard card, which has led me to explore various options. Initially, I tried applying for the Bank of China's Long March Cross-Border Debit Card, but unfortunately, I was rejected after a brief conversation: "What's this for? " followed by "This is completely unacceptable (does not meet the requirements)". Upon further research, I discovered other alternatives, including Bank of Communications' cosmic card and OCBC's WISE card. However, I learned that the former has limited usability, and the latter requires passport applications and occasional verification of address. As a result, I wonder how one can balance the usability of a card (enabling binding with Google, Apple, and PayPal, amongst others) and the application threshold to obtain such a card, especially in today's dynamic landscape.
