Morgan Stanley has recently made a prediction regarding the anticipated peak of Nittobo's (3110 Tokyo) T-glass shortage, which is expected to occur around mid-2026. However, the same forecast suggests that a more pronounced improvement in the supply chain is likely to start from 2027.

According to recent information, one substrate supplier has managed to secure full support from Grace Fabric, a Chinese low-CTE glass supplier. The supplier has stated that sampling and qualification processes are currently proceeding at a rapid pace.

The company anticipates receiving samples from Grace Fabric in the fourth quarter of 2025 and expects to receive copper-clad laminates (CCLs) utilizing Grace Fabric's low-CTE glass in the first quarter of 2026.

This development may potentially alleviate the ongoing T-glass shortage and provide a much-needed boost to the affected industries.
