The recently released 'Suggestions on Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development' by the Communist Party of China highlights the importance of enhancing macroeconomic governance and implementing a more active macro policy. The key objectives of this approach include maintaining stable economic growth, stable employment, and stable expectations. To achieve these goals, it is essential to strengthen the role of national development planning and strategic guidance, while also promoting the coordination of fiscal and monetary policies. Furthermore, the effective implementation of policies in various sectors such as industry, prices, employment, consumption, investment, trade, regions, environmental protection, and regulation should be encouraged to foster a moreARDS driven economic development model. The plan also emphasizes the need to enhance the effectiveness of macroeconomic policy, strengthen the consistency of policy orientation, and improve the evaluation of policy implementation. Additionally, a well-established mechanism for managing expectations and optimizing the comprehensive performance assessment of high-quality development should be established.
