I've used Kindle to read e-books for many years, connecting my e-book files to Calibre via USB. My notes are also manually copied from Kindle to my computer using Kindle Mate. However, after my previous Kindle broke, I transferred all my e-books to a new Kindle and tried to import my notes as well. Unfortunately, I encountered some issues.
I tried two methods:
The first method involved using the 'Sync changes to Kindle device' menu in Kindle Mate, but the notes were empty on my Kindle device.
The second method involved exporting the notes to a TXT file using Kindle Mate's 'Export to file' option with the format 'Kindle native annotation notes My Clippings complete format, can be backed up and shared (* .txt)', but I'm not sure how to import the file.
I later found that my Kindle device has a My Clippings.txt file, which contains content imported using the first method. However, my Kindle device does not recognize the file.
I've also found a My Clippings.sdr directory with a My Clippings.mbp1 file.
The format of the My Clippings.txt file is as follows: title, location, date, blank line, content, styles.
I've observed that new notes are also in the same format.
I've tried to migrate my notes from Kindle Mate to Calibre, but I'm stuck.
