The highly-anticipated new BMW X3 long-wheelbase model has finally been unveiled, boasting a significant improvement in rear seat legroom and comfort. The latest addition to the X3 family boasts a longer wheelbase of 2975mm, a significant increase of 110mm compared to the standard version. This new design allows for a more spacious cabin, with increased rear seat legroom and headroom. The new X3 is expected to debut at the 2024 Chengdu Motor Show on August 30th. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4865mm in length and 1920mm in width, positioning it as a mid-sized SUV. As for powertrain options, while the company has not yet completed the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's review, it is expected to continue the current model's powertrain configuration, with a 2.0T turbocharged engine producing either 184 horsepower or 245 horsepower, depending on the trim level. The engine will come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
