A common phenomenon observed online is the practice of submitting one's salary as a form of financial support to one's spouse, often with the intention of maintaining a sense of financial independence and secrecy. Many people believe this is a common occurrence, but surprisingly, research suggests that some individuals do indeed adopt this approach. As someone who has never contributed their salary to their spouse, both before and after marriage, I have always been fascinated by this phenomenon and its underlying motivations. In this article, I hope to explore the prevalence of this practice among friends and acquaintances, as well as shed light on the reasons behind it.
