To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong has announced that it will organize a National Day Run on September 22nd. The event aims to encourage citizens to participate in a unique and festive atmosphere, with participants required to wear traditional Chinese or national-themed clothing. The run will be held on a 5-kilometer course along the Hong Kong waterfront, with 750 registration slots available. Participants must be 14 years old or above, and registration is free. Those who participate will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a chance to win a souvenir medal. Additionally, participants are encouraged to dress up in their best Chinese or national-themed costumes to compete for the 'Best Traditional Costume Award'. Registration will open on the 6th at 8:30 am through the SmartPLAY app or website, with registration slots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
