Jakarta, July 25, 2024 - Ardhasena, Deputy for Climatology at the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics, attended the submission of the audit report on the 2023 State Budget to the Ministry/Lemma entities I within the scope of the Indonesian National Audit Office (BPK RI), held at the BPK RI Auditorium on July 25, 2024. The report shows a strong commitment to transparent and accountable financial management, as a strategic step towards Indonesia's ambition to become a gold country by 2045. The event was also attended by high-ranking officials from the BPK RI, including First Member of the Indonesian National Audit Office/I Chief of the Audit Committee, Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana. During the event, BPK RI praised the Ministry/Lemma entities that successfully implemented good financial management. Nyoman stated in his speech, "Transparent and accountable financial management is the foundation for achieving Indonesia's ambition to become a gold country by 2045. We appreciate the hard efforts of all parties in achieving high accounting and reporting standards." However, the report also identified several challenges ahead, including climate change, food security, blue and green economy, geopolitics, and energy crises. To achieve Indonesia's ambition to become a gold country by 2045, BPK RI emphasizes the need for continued efforts to improve the quality of financial management. Synergy among various parties is crucial to achieve common goals. The submission of this report is part of the regular audit process conducted by BPK RI against all government entities to ensure the proper and accountable use of state funds. Furthermore, BPK RI promotes transparency and accountability through the utilization of technology in financial management. Technological innovations are expected to accelerate the reporting process and strengthen financial oversight. With this audit report, BMKG continues to commit to improving the quality of financial management, ultimately achieving Indonesia's goal of becoming a gold country by 2045.
