I am excited to introduce my self-developed APP, Wordmine, which is designed to help users record and memorize vocabulary in a way that suits their individual learning style. The main feature of this app is to allow users to record and review vocabulary in a way that is similar to a dictionary or a vocabulary book. Currently, the app is available for Apple platforms, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac, designed for iPad. Note that the UI of iPad and Mac is still being optimized and will be updated soon.
In the past, I was studying English vocabulary, but I found it challenging to find an app that met my needs. One app I used had some bugs, and the developer did not respond to my feedback. Therefore, I decided to develop my own vocabulary app.
The requirements for my app are as follows:
* Record unknown vocabulary: Unlike traditional vocabulary apps, Wordmine allows users to record unfamiliar words and phrases while reading English language materials or playing games. This approach makes learning more fun and engaging.
* OCR feature: The app includes a built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature that allows users to take photos of written words and phrases and record them directly.
* Level-based learning: Unlike traditional vocabulary apps, Wordmine uses a level-based learning system. Users can set their own parameters for learning, including the number of words to review per day. The app also allows users to set reminders and track their progress.
* Offline access: The app allows users to access vocabulary lists offline, making it convenient for users to review vocabulary anywhere, anytime.
* High-quality pronunciation: Wordmine uses Apple's built-in voiceover feature to provide high-quality pronunciation. Users can choose from Samantha and Zoe's voices to practice pronunciation.
The app is currently available for free on the App Store, and I hope it will meet the needs of users who are looking for a customized vocabulary app. I will continue to update the app to improve its interaction, UI, and Bug Fix. Future plans include adding more features, such as import and export functionality, but these are pending further development.
