As a Backend Engineer for our Lightning Network team, you will be responsible for designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services around the Lightning Network. You will also build a deep understanding of Lightning and collaborate with the community to make core protocol and implementation improvements. Additionally, you will create a rich services layer to serve the next set of users and use cases, and build frameworks to collect and analyze data to further improve Lightning. Key responsibilities include: designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services around Lightning Network; building a deep understanding of Lightning and collaborating with the community to make core protocol and implementation improvements; creating a rich services layer to serve the next set of users and use cases; building frameworks to collect and deeply analyze Lightning data for solution improvement; extending Lightning via advanced functionality to solve complex problems and introduce it to broader audiences. Required qualifications include: 3+ years of backend engineering experience with Rust; experience working on Lightning Network protocols and implementations; experience writing high-quality, well-tested code; experience communicating and collaborating across technical and cross-functional teams; and a CS degree or equivalent.
