As I recently got back into running, I found myself getting bored with the monotony of it all. I decided to revive my passion for badminton, but soon realized that finding a partner to play with was a significant challenge. I scoured social media platforms like WeChat, QQ, Weibo, and Douyin, but none seemed to have the ability to connect people with shared interests. This idea sparked the concept of creating a social platform for badminton enthusiasts, focusing on local groups and real-time matchmaking. Users would be able to post updates and find like-minded individuals to play with, eliminating the need to search far and wide. Once a match is made, users could rate their partners, leading to the potential emergence of coaches, trainers, or even freelancers. The platform would also integrate with external interfaces like Meituan, allowing users to rate and review badminton courts and facilities. Moreover, the platform could generate revenue through coaching fees, tournament organization, and sponsored content. The core characteristics of the platform would be: local focus, special interests, and a curated community. Smaller, niche groups would foster a sense of belonging and community among users. I'd love to hear from others if such a platform already exists or if my idea is worth exploring further.
