I recently watched a 10-minute video on YouTube, which had numerous ads. Each ad was at least 40 seconds long, and it was extremely off-putting. The ads had a significant impact on my viewing experience, and I'm not alone in feeling this way. This is one reason why TikTok is more popular than YouTube - their ads are more discreet and can be easily skipped. Some YouTubers also insert ads within their videos, which is a more viewer-friendly approach. Some people might suggest paying for a membership to avoid ads, but I think it's not worth it. You can get a better meal for the same price! Moreover, there are many video platforms out there, and if one platform's ads affect the user experience, it's understandable to switch to another. The ad model on YouTube needs to be refined to compete with TikTok's more subtle approach.
